Blocking and framing gauge size to be coordinated with Phenolic Panel Subcontractor. Phenolic Panel subcontractor shall be responsible for any blocking attaching to drywall surface. 32. Gypsum board with specified requirements for fire resistance, finish level, moisture or mold resistance, sound rating, shaft assemblies, tiling for interior or exterior applications. 33. Tile backing panel required for Tiling and Terrazzo work and locations to be by this Subcontractor. I. Spec Section 06105 - Rough Carpentry: Plywood Backboards, tele-data, electrical & equipment backboards, strapping, plates wood blocking or backing in metal support partition framing systems or ceiling suspension systems where required by Contract Documents and specifications including, but not limited to: 1. Subcontractor shall furnish and install all wood blocking. 2. Subcontractor shall furnish and install fire-retardant treated material and submit certified test reports. 3. Subcontractor shall furnish and install 2x8 solid bumper guard over solid plywood at cart height. 4. Subcontractor is responsible to furnish and install all flat metal strap and/or wood blocking as required including any backing plates and supplementary framing in gypsum board shaft wall assemblies, around openings, blocking, bracing, support of gravity/pullout loads of fixtures, equipment, services, heavy trim, furnishings, wall mounted door stops, handrails, toe guard rail, phenolic paneling, and other items that cannot be supported by shaft wall assembly systems. 5. Furnish and Install Fire Rated Plywood Blocking at Electrical Closet CB3L-203 Walls for electrical panel mounting. J. Layout: Subcontractor to include layout with total station from fixed points on each floor. i.e. not from gridlines. K. General Application: Furnish and Install all Backing systems to include, but not be limited to: a) Subcontractor to coordinate and install backer plates or wall-bracing or ceiling bracing as required to support wall or ceiling-attached equipment and finishes: Cabinets, millwork, casework, wood trim Sound Absorbing Wall Systems and Flush Wood Paneling Systems Kitchen Equipment and Shelving, Metal Storage Shelving Custom Office Furniture Wood or Hollow Metal Door frames, Window frames, Access Panels. Drapery pockets, window treatments or blinds. Handrail Systems, Wall and Door Protection Toilet, Bath and Laundry Accessories Fire Extinguisher Cabinets Guard Rail System AED Cabinets Interior Wayfinding and Signage Other building equipment specialties, furnishing and finishes noted on drawings b) All supplemental framing for seismic, bracing, bridging, blocking, kickers, hole
