1.4 DEFINITIONS:
A. Refer to Article 2 of the Contract for definition of terms, words and expressions used in the General Conditions not otherwise defined herein. B. Design Consultant: "Design Consultant" shall mean the entity responsible for providing design services for the Project, including without limitation, preparing the construction documents (drawings and specifications) and providing services in connection with such documents during construction. The entity serving as the "Design Consultant" may be a corporation, firm, partnership, joint venture, individual or combination thereof. Such entity may be either an employee(s) of the City or an entity engaged by the City to provide such services.
1.5 QUALITYASSURANCE:
A. Land Surveyor Qualifications: A professional land surveyor who is licensed in the State of New York and who is experienced in providing land-surveying services of the kind indicated.

3.1 DELIVERYOF MATERIALS: A.
Material Orders: The Contractor shall furnish to the Commissioner a copy of each material order, indicating date of order and quantity of material, and shall also notify the Commissioner when materials have been delivered to the site and in what quantities. B. Ample Quantities: The Contractor shall deliver materials in ample quantities to insure the most prompt and uninterrupted progress of the work so as to complete the work within the Contract time. C. Containers: The manufacturer's containers shall be delivered with unbroken seals and shall bear proper labels. D. Deliveries: The Contractor shall coordinate deliveries in order to avoid delaying or impeding the progress of the work. E. Handling: The Contractor shall provide equipment and personnel to handle products by methods to prevent soiling or damage. 1. Promptly inspect shipments to assure products comply with requirements, quantities are correct, and products are undamaged. 2. Promptly return damaged shipments or incorrect orders to manufacturer. 3. For materials or equipment to be reused or salvaged, use special care in removal, storage and reinstallation to insure proper function in completed work. F. Storage: Store products in accordance with provisions of Article 3.1, and periodically inspect to assure that stored products are undamagedand are maintained under required conditions. G. Stacking: All materials shall be properly stacked in convenient places adjacent to the site, or where directed, and protected in a satisfactory manner. Stacked materials shall be so arranged as to not interfere with visibility of traffic control devices. H. Overloading: If authority is given to store materials in any part of the project area, they shall be so stored as to cause no overloading.
