Executive Summary
Addendum A – Owner Biography Professional Biography of Andee Hidalgo, Owner and President
Anne D. Hidalgo's 25+ years of professional leadership and business acumen combined with her education and passion for building, led to the establishment of SPEARHEAD CONSTRUCTION, LLC in 2016. For the last decade "Andee" has enjoyed implementing design and construction, where she led multiple design-build projects in high-end residential homes and commercial buildings. Her advanced studies in pursuit of her Masters in Architecture (M.ARCH) solidified her love for construction, which led her to create her own firm. Previously, Andee led sales and management teams at investment firms based in New York City. For over a decade, her leadership resulted in her team’s consistent recognition and high ranking among the largest pension and hedge funds, from Singapore to New York City. Prior to Wall Street, Andee sold surgical devices on behalf of Johnson & Johnson, where she was consistently recognized for growing her territory along the West Coast of Florida. Before joining the corporate world, Andee served six years on active duty as a communications officer in the U. S. Army. While on Active Duty, Andee was Airborne qualified and her Commanders often trusted her in roles typically reserved for higher ranking officers. Although the Signal Corps was her branch specialty, she acted as Company Commander for a 130-person Headquarters Company within a Military Intelligence Battalion. Furthermore, Andee was selected to hold this position two years prior to her promotion to Captain and well ahead of her peers. Andee’s commander then saw fit to promote her to a senior staff position (S-1), over competing senior officers where she was responsible for the accountability and welfare of a 433- person battalion deployed in multiple small groups at various stations, including behind enemy lines, throughout Iraq and Kuwait. She led soldiers of the 3rd Armored Division ("SPEARHEAD") in combat during Desert Storm and was awarded the Bronze Star for her actions. Following the Gulf War, Andee was one of two Lieutenants assigned to the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command. She subsequently was promoted to Captain and became qualified as an Army Purchasing Officer where she focused on upgrading major cable and telephony projects throughout the Army’s U. S. based training facilities. Andee understood the value and successfully lobbied for the installation of “dark” fiberoptic cable decades before the “lighting” technology became available. Following Active Duty, Andee continued to serve in the U. S. Army Reserve for another seven years in the role of Military Academy Liaison (MALO) where she met with and guided high school students seeking admissions to West Point. Andee is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, earning a B.S. in General Engineering with a concentration in Philosophy. She is a few credits shy of earning her M.ARCH from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA. Andee continues to mentor and advise young men and women seeking admission to West Point and officially sponsors cadets / graduates from classes of 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024.
