D. No product shall contain more than 1.0% by weight of sum total of volatile aromatic compounds. 1.8 voe REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERIOR ADHESIVES: A. The volatile organic compound (VOC) content of adhesives, adhesive bonding primers, or adhesive primers used in this project shall not exceed the limits defined in Rule 1168 - "Adhesive and Sealant Applications" of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), of the State of California. The voe limits defined by SCAQMD are as follows. All voe limits are defined in grams per liter, less water and less exempt compounds. For specified building construction related applications, the allowable VOC content is as follows: 1. Architectural Applications: a. Indoor carpet adhesive b. Carpet pad adhesive c. Wood flooring adhesive d. Rubber floor adhesive e. Subfloor adhesive f. Ceramic tile adhesive g. VCT and asphalt tile adhesive h. Drywall and panel adhesive i. Cove base adhesive j. Multipurpose construction adhesive k. Structural glazing adhesive 2. Specialty Applications: a. PVC welding b. CPVC welding c. ABS welding d.
