Joseph P. Ritorto was the co-founder of First Aviation Services, Inc., which is located in Teterboro Airport, Teterboro, New Jersey and provides a variety of aviation support services. Mr. Ritorto has been an officer, in various capacities, of First Aviation Services since 1986 and sold First Aviation Services to a group led by Goldman Sachs to Net Jets in May 2008. From 1991, until he retired in May 2001, Mr. Ritorto served as the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Silverstein Properties, Inc. In this capacity, Mr. Ritorto's responsibilities included overseeing operations and directing the lease administration of Silverstein owned and managed properties. Also a licensed attorney, Mr. Ritorto previously held the position as a Partner at Dorsey, Burke & Griffin, Esqs. He served as a Senior Member of President’s Direct Staff and also General Counsel at National Bulk Carriers, Inc. He was the Corporate Vice President of the National Bank of North America, Vice Chairman to the Underwriters Bank & Trust Company, and President of Valcas International Corporation. Jim Robinette is currently a Visiting Professor from Purdue University at the Department of Law, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York. Before joining academia, he served 30 years in the Army, with four separate tours as a Staff Judge Advocate (JAG), the Army’s highest legal chair at each military base. During this time, Jim served in Germany, Iraq and Virginia. Most recently, Jim served in this capacity at West Point where he retired as a Colonel. Prior to these assignments, he served three tours as a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate with postings as far reaching as Hawaii and Bagram, Afghanistan. An avid instructor, Jim also spent time as an Assistant/Associate Professor (The Judge Advocate General's School of the Army), teaching environmental law, advanced military personnel law, and investigations. Additionally, he was an Environmental Law Attorney at the Army's Environmental Law Division in Arlington, Virginia, concentrating his work on natural and cultural resources law, international environmental law, and the National Environmental Policy Act. In addition to these assignments, Jim led a company and was promoted to senior, “field grade” positions of responsibilities within the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. Jim kicked off his career as an armored tank and cavalry officer stationed in Germany and later deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm following his graduation from West Point.
