RE: LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal Building Replacement Project (the “ Project ”); Subcontract No. 620-027 (the “ Subcontract ”) between Skanska/Walsh Joint Venture (“ SWJV ”) and Spearhead Construction LLC (“ Spearhead ); SWJV Response to Spearhead Questions.

Ms. Hidalgo:

SWJV is in receipt of Spearhead letter dated February 24, 2020, regarding coordination questions. Please be advised that your coordination questions as written require further clarification and furthermore, they should be either submitted as an RFI or they should be addressed in the field. As you are aware, there have been numerous coordination discussions with all the appropriate subcontractors, including the architects as well, to address baseboard enclosure details/questions over the last year. Spearhead senior management recently advised that your foreman and superintendent representing Spearhead are not authorized to make decisions, thereby frustrating Spearhead’s ability to make decisions at the coordination meetings. Therefore, Spearhead should arrange for an authorized person such as your Project manager, who was on site and who recently started participating in the 6:30am Forman’s meeting on February 25 and 26, 2020, to address these items face to face walk at the SWJV trailer as they normally are addressed.

SWJV will continue to address any issue and concerns that may arise in order to keep the Project moving forward. SWJV notes the following in response to your coordination questions:

Roof Access Corridor 1) Spearhead is familiar with the trades performing the work on the catwalk, which dialogue and communication is ongoing Stair Entrance 1) Same thing this is a field coordination/discussion.
