Mail - Andee - Outlook

Thank you all for meeting today. We believe it was very productive. We have indicated with our schedule that we can reach the deadline indicated if we are able to have SWJVs cooperation and help with some 'pressure points'. These include: 1. Lighting - Additional lighting may be required to support 2nd shift work. 2. Dry and warm - The space needs to be weathertight and heated to allow for finishing work to start. Space must be above 40 degrees, continuously. 3. Access to Trusses - Trades' materials need to be out of the way of the trusses. Spearhead will coordinate with SWJV. The first areas of clearance needs to be along the B1, B0, and B00 lines. Trades can temporarily move equipment and materials to the center of the bridge while Spearhead works in those coordinated areas. 4. Concrete - Concrete poured along the truss bases at the B1 - B00 col lines. This is a critical path before we can install truss cladding. 5. Moving walkway Access - Spearhead needs access to truss enclosures, soffits and ceilings adjacent to the moving walkway. Pipe scaffold type solution is far more efficient for all trades. Electric access (lifts or booms) is less desirable due to: 1) Spearhead Truss crews are 1st shift and would need to work "above" trades working on moving walkway, and 2) Building the trusses and the soffits will greatly slow productivity for all trades that need access to those areas. 6. Temp Wall (CCB and PBB) - Spearhead needs anticipated date for the removal of the current temp wall and installation of new temp wall between the CCB and bridge. It was indicated that the 2nd floor will be ready by Monday. 7. Access doors - RFI answered about the location and sizes of the access doors. 8. Inspections - All fireproofing inspected at areas we are closing up. 9. Gusset plates and bolts - Issue with the gusset plates remedied. SWJV indicated that the ends of the bolt can be cut to allow GFRG panels to remain in-line. 10. Level 3 - All of the L3 mechanical equipment to be installed. Tentatively discussed this would be complete the 13th. 11. Fire Shutter - The fire shutter install complete. Tentatively discussed as being complete the 15th. 12. FTR - Heating (FTR) to be complete. Spearhead needs to install the GFRG covers the 3rd week of December to allow proper time to finish prior to painting. 13. Exterior walls - Cord exterior wall complete. We need to sheath the inside face at the West side prior to furring out of the panel room. 14. Roof Access Corridor - Safway suspended scaffold to be removed and pipe column to be installed by end of December. This pipe column must be installed in order to build the roof access corridor. 15. Weekly Meeting - Requested to move weekly meeting to Spearhead Shanty and to include Bill and Mack. To be reviewed: - BOH Temporary Security wall. Can any of this wall be salvaged? - West feature wall reveal - Spearhead needs new drawings/dimensions. - Lay-down area for the Plasterform pieces at the Brooklyn Diner area. Staging all GFRG/C pieces in this area will allow Spearhead to expedite installation. We will work through all GFRG/C prior to month's end. - Need for vertical gyp board at the feature wall. This may be a mis-interpretation of a code compliance requirement. Commitment from Spearhead: - Outline all of the deliveries to the end of the month. This includes an anticipated delivery embargo from December 23 - 27th, and December 31 - Jan 1. - Send over a list of all CO's to date. Include CO's that are pending (ex: switch to purple board). - Balance of engineering drawings for the feature wall, 10 psf requirements for the stair, 3rd floor feature wall design. Thank you for your help, Sean Reed Project Manager Spearhead Construction, LLC MBE | WBE | SDVOB | SDVOSB | PANYNJ | NYCSBS Sean @ SpearheadCx.com Ph: 631.793.7422
